‘Limitation’ is only a word in the dictionary! Meet the hero who brought wheelchair Cricket to Bangladesh – Mohammad Mohasin.
Mohammad Mohasin is the captain of Bangladesh Wheelchair Cricket – BWC and founder of Wheelchair Cricket Welfare Association Bangladesh – which helps create para-athletes across the country. Among many awards, BWC has won the coveted Taj Mahal Trophy in India and is the unbeaten champion of the Second International Tri-Nation Wheelchair Cricket T-20 series against India and Nepal. Till date, they won 3 out of 6 international tournaments, was a Runners up in two, and second Runners up at the Asia Cup.
Through his organization, he promotes athleticism and helps hundreds of people fight against disability – including creating opportunities and making places wheelchair-inclusive. Today, his organization has over 200 members and Cricket Teams in 4 divisions – Dhaka, Chittagong, Rajshahi and Rangpur – who train to become para-athletes.
