Nagad to distribute grants to Technical and Madrasah Education Board

On Monday, an agreement was signed with the Technical and Madrasa Education department with Nagad.

Announced earlier this year, the Government will distribute cash assistance to educational institutions, teachers, staff and students under the Technical and Madrasa Education Department to combat the Corona epidemic. The Post Office’s mobile financial service (MFS) ‘Nagad’ will distribute Tk 5 crore to more than 8,000 teachers and students and 300 educational institutions.

On Monday, an agreement was signed with the Technical and Madrasa Education department with Nagad.

Additional Secretary of the Department of Technical and Madrasah Education, Moniruzzaman and the executive director of ‘Nagad’ Md. Safayet Alam signed the contract. Sabina Yasmin, Senior Assistant Secretary, Department of Technical and Madrasah Education (Ministry of Education) and Mannaf Parag, Head of Government Sales, Nagad, were present.

The government will provide Tk. 75 lakh to 300 educational institutions as assistance during the Corona period. Additionally, 500 teachers and employees will get Tk. 50 lakh. Tk. 3 thousand 75 lakh are also being given out to 6 thousand 538 students. This assistance will be sent at the cost of cash-out by Nagad.
